Inspired by the organic sculptural forms of Harry Bertoia, Henry Moore, and Hans Arp, the ‘Sculptor Series’ by Studio Bookmark celebrates and revels in pure form. Each piece, with its classical proportions and modern allure is meticulously crafted in Studio Bookmark’s East Austin studio. The process begins with hand sculpted patterns that are used to form the molds for the sand-casting process - an ancient method of pouring molten bronze into a mold at 2000 degrees F. After a cooling period, each piece is then cleaned and polished by hand, giving them a subtly organic beauty, sculptural and refined.
